- 3-ply Monaco Mercerized Cotton in Ecru, Mustard, and Green. You can use any other superfine yarn.
- 1.6 mm crochet hook

- ch – chain
- st – stitch
- sl st – slip stitch
- sc – single crochet
- dc – double crochet
- Inc dc – increase double crochet
Special Crochet Stitches
Picot Stitch
To make a picot ch 3 then sl st at the back of ch 1.
Notes
- The total number of st in each row is indicated after the equal sign =.
- Repeat the steps inside the parentheses ( ) as often as indicated by the number after the asterisk *.
- The ch 3 at the beginning of a row counts as a st.
- To end each row, sl st at the top of ch 3 (which is counted as a dc).

Crochet Peace Lily Bookmark Pattern
This crochet peace lily pattern includes instructions for crocheting a petal, bud, string, and leaf to create a peace lily flower bookmark.
Petal
Using the ecru yarn,
R1: 10 dc in a magic ring = 10
R2: ch 3, dc (inc dc) * 9 = 20
R3: ch 3, dc, (inc dc) * 19, picot st, (inc dc) 20 = 40
Fasten off and cut the yarn leaving a long tail. This yarn tail will be used to sew the parts together later.
Bud

Using the mustard yarn, ch 12, hdc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc until the last st.
String and Leaf
Attach the green yarn into the bud, ch 80.
Sl st into the 2nd ch, sc in the next 2 st, dc in the next 2 st, hdc, sc.
Turning to the other side of the leaf, ch2, sc, hdc, dc in the next 2 st, hdc, sc.
Fasten off and weave ends.
Assemble

Put the bud on the center of the petal. Fold the petal as shown in the pictures below. Using the yarn tail of the petal, sew together the parts of the flower. Make sure to sew the lower parts only to keep the petal of the peace lily open.
In this part, hide the yarn tails beside the lower part of the bud as you enclose it inside the petal.
